10: LUMIERE

Andien went to Dirga and Ian's table after Arga had left her. Andien clasps her lips, trying not to laugh at the sight before her. Dirga and Ian locked their gaze on Andien, Ian's hand still tightly gripping Dirga's wrist. "Do you really have feelings for my boyfriend?" Andien teased Ian, pointing with her chin to Ian's hand. The two men followed Andien's gaze. "s**t!" "WHAT THE HELL!" They both shouted at the same time. 'Ha ha ha!' Andien laughed at the two's expressions, as did some customers. "That's your boyfriend! He's already fighting with your ex if I don't hold him! What exactly is your problem? You're overly sensitive!" Ian chastised. "Hah! Like I care! You are my lawyer. If there is a problem, all you have to do is solve it! "Dirga responded. "You i***t! Do you think that person will be ok being beaten by a black belt like you? Even if it's only a scratch, what if he dies?" "Do you think I became a sensei just to kill people?" "Oh my goodness! STOP IT! It's noisy, you know! You're old, but you still behave like a child. Shame on your age!" Andien became enraged. She attempted to break up the argument between the two men. Andien is unaware that Dirga, Ian, and Borne are never peaceful when they are together. "Is that your ex, Braga Adhiyaksa?" Ian inquired. "Yes, he is. Do you know him?" Andien replied. "Wow! I heard he's very wealthy! Why did you refuse him? You will prosper if you remain with him." "I'm wealthy as well! You devil! It's your pleasure to annoy me!" Dirga chastised Ian for not accepting his statement. Ian laughed at his best friend's annoyance. "I don't know him very well. I've only ever seen him once. That's why he seemed familiar. I went to his trial. My friend was the suspect's lawyer at the time. Your ex was the prosecutor. God damn it! He's so scary in court!" Ian continued. "I've never followed his every move. I'm uninterested." "Yes, because you don't care about your ex, you don't care about his actions. Isn't he just divorced?" "Yeah. It hasn't even been a year." "His divorce wasn't because of hoping to get back with you, right?" "You're insane! Your imagination is a long way away!" "I'm a lawyer, so of course I imagine everything!" "How could I have known?" "But you're amazing; you can make a Braga Adhiyaksa bow down like that. His fate is dismal. He had recently lost both his wife and his crush." Ian sarcastically laughed at his own words. Dirga remained next to Andien, holding his lover's left hand while listening to Ian and Andien's conversation. "Is he that great, bro?" Dirga asked Ian. "That's exactly how he is. He has a high winning percentage. If he is the prosecutor in a case, we must gather additional evidence to bring it to trial. He is a meticulous individual. If the case is in his hands, the defendant may be subject to multiple articles. Plus, his intimidating aura is incredible! I've never actually met him face to face. When..." "You are correct about being intimidating!" Andien cut Ian off in the middle of his explanation. "Why?" Dirga inquired, surprised. His gaze had shifted to Andien. "When I broke up with him, he blamed it on my ugliness. And his words made me feel insecure. Even though he was cheating on me, he only looked for reasons to justify his actions. What hurt me the most was that he never gave me the chance to speak. I can't even explain it in words. Never mind, I'm too lazy to talk about it." Andien was obviously a slacker. "How comes your character?" Ian inquired, perplexed. "He claimed I was simply encircling him. So, he wasn't at ease with me." "Bastard! He's playing victim! That's how all girls are. He's never even met my wife! I arrived at my house a minute late and I was immediately attacked and cornered behind the door! Damn, that's terrible! Luckily, I love my wife to death!" Andien and Dirga laughed sharply imagining the frightened look on Ian's face because of his wife's actions. "You have to understand that your wife is pregnant." Andien tries to defend Meta - Ian's wife. "She's like that even when she's not pregnant! Imagine being pregnant like this! Is it because the baby is a boy that my wife is so fierce?" Dirga burst out laughing after hearing Ian's defense. "It's fortunate that you have Meta as a wife. You meet sexy clients every day. Where can you come home on time if you don't remember having a lion at home?" Dirga stated. "Sorry, bro! I'm a faithful husband. We can be stubborn, but not stupid! I have a lot of ex-girls, but I dated just to hang out, and in the end, I just gave them false hope. I'm not a s*x criminal, bro! My bad boy phase ended when I married." "All right, I believe you!" "How much is Ian's ex, dear?" Andien inquired innocently. "Oh, if you collect them, you can make an Independence Day parade... Auuuwww!! You bastard!!!" Dirga cursed as he stroked his head, which Ian tapped with a menu book, while the perpetrator simply grinned widely. "Okay, I must return to the office. My client will arrive in half an hour. You pay for all this!" As he rose from his seat, Ian addressed Dirga. "Bye, Andien... Be nice to that devil!" Andien just laughed at Ian's joke. After Ian's back disappeared behind the cafe exit, Andien also invited Dirga to leave the place. "Let's go home, honey. I'm extremely sleepy. And I'm still starving!" "Let us eat some more before we return." "No, I'd rather sleep in the car. I'll eat later; I'd like to eat rice; I haven't had rice since the morning." "Just park your car here, okay? I called Borne and asked him to send a driver to pick up your car "Dirga said as he opened his phone to call Borne. Andien stopped it. "I don't bring a car. My car won't start; it appears that the battery needs to be replaced. I took the train this morning." The director was surprised. Just about to answer, Andien spoke again "Honey, are you tired? If you're not tired, can you take me home? I'm really sleepy and dizzy. I've been staying up all night for three days chasing the final revision to the publisher. And I still... Miss you! " Dirga still wanted to ask, but seeing Andien's withered face and eyes, he gave up. Dirga kissed Andien's hand, nodded, then invited his girlfriend to leave the cafe. Arriving at the parking lot, Dirga rushed to open the car door for Andien. He then opened the trunk to take the blanket that was always available in his car. As soon as he sat behind the wheel, Dirga chuckled when he saw Andien who was fast asleep. "Oh my gosh, baby... Really tired huh?" the rhetorical question flowed slowly from Dirga's mouth. The next second, Dirga started the car, adjusted the air temperature, helped Andien put on the seat belt, lay down the back of the chair, and covered his lover. Her eyes locked on the tired face that still looked beautiful. "How do you keep making me fall in love with you? Neither in our childhood nor now. You were always the one who tied my heart "Dirga murmured once more. Unable to resist, Dirga gently kissed Andien's lips and stroked her cheek as he said... "Je Vous Aime, lumière".
