Dia Bertaruh dengan Sahabatnya, Aku Menikahi Pria Lain

On the day I was supposed to tie the knot with Thayer Sandler, my best friend Althea Vane absolutely insisted on staking every single asset she owned in a wild bet against him. "Let's have a bet. You'll put two things in each of your hands, and I have to guess what you're holding… whether it's a mint or a salted plum candy," she said with a dangerous smile. "If I guess wrong, everything I own becomes your wedding gift. Every last penny. But if I guess right, you'll do whatever I demand." After Thayer placed the objects in his hands, Althea answered immediately, "I guess... salted plum candy." I saw with my own eyes: he was holding a mint in his right hand. But the very next second... "You win," Thayer told her, his right hand snapping shut into a fist, while his left palm unfurled. Sure enough, two salted plum candies lay in the center. Althea stared at him, her eyes instantly rimmed with red, her voice trembling. "Then don't blame me for being ruthless. A random guess, and it hit the mark... it must be fate," she said, before adding: "Put the wedding on hold... for ten years."
