Terikat Takdir di New York

Choi Hyunwoo, a ambitious and hardworking 21-year-old Korean international student who has just arrived in New York after being accepted into Columbia University’s Business program. He passed the entrance exams with outstanding scores and is determined to succeed.Hyunwoo comes from a modest but loving family in South Korea. His father, Choi Minjae, is a respected senior prosecutor. His mother, Choi Yuna, owns and runs a popular restaurant. He has a 10-year-old younger brother, Choi Hajoon, who is still in elementary school, and a 1-year-old baby sister, Choi Mina. Because he has seen his parents work extremely hard their entire lives, Hyunwoo’s biggest dream is to build a successful global company under the “Choi” name so his parents can finally rest and enjoy life.Far away from his family for the first time, Hyunwoo feels the weight of responsibility but remains focused and disciplined.Unexpectedly, he meets Sophia Thompson, the beautiful and intelligent 20-year-old daughter of Justin Thompson, the powerful chairman of Thompson Industries. Her mother, Michelle Thompson, is a famous former model who has a strong obsession with Korean dramas and even orders kimchi and Korean snacks online. Sophia has an older brother, Damian Thompson, who recently became the new CEO of the family company, and a 1-year-old little sister, Bella.Sophia is also a freshman at Columbia University, majoring in Science. She comes from an extremely wealthy family but deeply hates being far from home. She lives in her own luxurious apartment near campus. Although she knows almost nothing about Korean culture (except what she’s passively absorbed from her mother’s K-drama addiction), fate keeps bringing her and Hyunwoo together on campus.
